In its design phase, the Real Steel Havran was referred to as “a knife with the simplest geometry.” Often, the simplest designs turn out to be the most desirable. Measuring nearly 9 inches from tip to pommel, the Havran is well-balanced and capable. The blade, a modified drop-point made of premium S35VN stainless steel, is straightforward and ready for action—and it’ll hold an impressive edge over time. A carbon fiber scale on the show side of the handle is easy on the eyes, but the business side of the knife has a titanium frame lock to keep the blade from budging. For even more security, there’s a lock slider, too. Inside the handle, double-row ceramic bearings deliver effortless deployment. Finally, a deep-carry clip provides confident carry on the right side.

Developed by Crucible Industries (one of the leading manufacturers of specialty steels for the cutlery industry) and Chris Reeve (arguably the most famous knifemaker in the world), S35VN is perhaps the most balanced blade steel ever created in terms of all-around performance. It’s made through a process of powdered metallurgy known as CPM, which results in near perfect consistency in the distribution of carbides. Compared to conventional melting practices, the CPM process produces a steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness.
