Short version: Real Steel Pilgrims are undeniably superior to Spyderpacs.
Long version: The materials are a bit nicer and finely put together and I say that as a Spyderco guy who owns six Spyderpacs and likes them a lot. The Pilgrim offers the same kind of knife storage with upgrades; it is fleece lined, has concealed aluminum panels for stability, has nicer hardware and a cool toggle lock. It can be opened one handed and isn’t quite as cumbersome as the large Spyderpacs.
are they product perfection? Well, the optional snaps on the flap can be a bit fiddly to deal with so I usually don’t bother with them. The size of the pockets varies a bit, intentionally, unlike Spyderpacs which are entirely uniform. I actually like that because knives are different sizes but YMMV. And you are storing a few less knives than you would in the large Spyderpac. But if you want something a little nicer, but still practical and low key, the Pilgrim is your man.

Sorry for the Marvel influenced subject, but it was the first thing that came to mind. The case definitely has the look and feel of quality with an attractive design that boasts some functional/aesthetic attributes like the closing/locking clasp and strong/clear plastic that allows you to safely store your knife collection while easily displaying the details of each knife. The case folds up into a nice, compact unit that's easy to transport or store away. I love it and would recommend it over designs less sensitive to travel needs since this case can be utilized for both transport and local needs.
I have a small collection, but it fits my chunkiest knives like the CJRB Crag Folding Knife and the Gerber Flatiron D2 Micarta Frame Lock Knife. Has different sized pockets too which seems like it will come in handy.
Took off a star for snap buttons that are difficult to line up and a front closing strap that doesn't feel secure enough to me to not use the snaps. Very happy with it otherwise.
With my growing collection I needed somewhere to store my pocket knives, and this Real Steel Pilgrim is a perfect solution. It is pretty affordable and great quality. The varying sizes for the pockts are great for my different sized knives.

Overall, this is a pretty great knife case. It's definitely a higher quality product than many similar storage options. The pouches are a little snug.. no big deal for small/medium knives.. larger or wider knives do fit, but may require some persuasion. I would have liked the pouches to be a little bit larger, but they do work just fine in practice. Another of my issues with the case is that, when filled and closed, you can easily see that it contains knives because they are visible from the sides of the carry bag.. I guess this is not a huge deal, but something to be aware of if you're going for knife anonymity (I have no idea if that's a thing or not haha..)..
Anyways.. long story short.. good case, great quality, and a decent price on Massdrop. I liked the first one enough to buy a second on the next drop..
Feels well built
Has plenty of pockets for a decent knife collector to be able to store them.
One thing I wish for it would be a slightly bigger opening for the pocket. I only really noticed the size of it with my Benchmade 9051SBK barely making it in the pocket. Granted it is a rather large pocket knife and my other knives had no problem fitting. It was just a niche problem overall.
