Personally I could never deal with this company.
When I saw this drop I thought great idea, thankyou to all the Massdrop users that have provided a detailed product appraisal.
It would appear these were not properly tested before selling. Reading here about what would appear to be basic design problems I am worried that customers so far have been used as paying guinea pigs. Accepting fake reviews as part of the website is inexcusable. The admission of fault can be read as honesty or damage control, I have no idea which.
The part of the video promos where usage is shown for earbuds is just plain wrong. Allowing the end buds and plugs to act as a stop by slamming into the enclosure sides at speed must be damaging to the buds over time and is starkly contrary to the usage advice issued by earbud makers. A user here has also clearly stated the lack of a proper way to release buds once rolled up.

I definitely appreciate your perspective and yes, we did make some mistakes early on. We are trying to improve as we go and certainly take your comments to heart. Instructions and video demos are something that is constantly under evaluation and I'll add your remarks to the quality testing.
