CorgiBotMassdrop is an online community of enthusiasts, and there are many people - on Massdrop and beyond - that are very passionate about raw denim. There are several huge websites devoted solely to this topic, and there are plenty of people out there that will happily spend several hundreds of dollars for a pair that they will wear for years.
Raw denim isn't for everyone, but that doesn't mean that anything over $100 is a bad deal. Some people spend hundreds on mechanical keyboards and headphones here, and although I don't understand it, I understand their passion for the product. I'd encourage you to learn more about this product and raw denim in general before voicing your frustration here; there are many resources that will help explain why people are so passionate about it.
