I love the look of these and the size, but have read several people reporting that the end cap keeping the clip on is a serious weak point and has had breakages. Can anybody speak to that or maybe knows of any changes made to prevent this?
rkh19I’ve had an end cap break (the threaded section separating from the top cap) after a drop from waste high on to a hard floor. I’m not sure there is a way to avoid it if it falls right. They have been great about a replacement part.
Why do all of these bolt-action pen makers keep using this wet smeary 9000M gel ink? I don’t understand. 🤷🏻♂️ Does everyone else like this messy slow drying ink? The first thing I do with these pens (Machine Era, Tactile Turn, etc…) is take the ink cartridge out and throw it away. I’ve been replacing them with Jetstream Prime Twist cartridges. No more smearing. 🤗
I'm looking at this for my husband, but he said 'it looks slippery'. He'd prefer a cross hatch at the finger hold. Can anyone comment on that? It's not super expensive, but I'd rather not blow $33 on something that will sit in he desk drawer.
Knurling it after finishing (and not stripping the finish, working the edges and refinishing) is a recipe for ruined pen.
It is a lot of work for a $33 pen.
Oh man! No, I didn't know they got redesigned! Thanks for the heads up!!
I might have to give it a shot with that mini - they do look quite similar!
Nothing like tossing will another $100 :P.
pretty sure i kickstarted this pen before the TT was redesigned. I definitely don't think of this as a TT copy.
TT is a nicer pen, but costs more. Both have their merits.
