If you typically carry a flashlight and a pen, we have some good news—now you don’t have to. Combining two of the most common EDC tools in one portable design, the REFYNE P1 is a convenient way to save pocket space Read More
I'm using mine separately with a P7 style clip on the light, so I can attach it to a pocket or my collar when I need a light on me but want my hands free. Without that clip I wouldn't like it as much. The fairly bright 9 lumen moonlight mode is good.
Everything about this says durable
A bit heavier than I thought it would
Flashlight is very bright
Spring inside the bolt action is too strong, I will probably find a shorter one online to replace it
Overall a quality product
Works for me, no complaints for the first few weeks. The locking joint and light operation takes a little while to get used to, there's a bit of a wiggle, but not a big enough issue to dock a star for me.
For the price point, in comparison with other pens/flashlights on drop, I think it's a great value. I keep this in my front pants pocket where it disappears until called upon. I take notes and sign stuff at work with this, it feels comfortable to me.
Docking a star since the bolt will unthread itself in my bag sometimes and just pop out. Luckily I haven't lost it yet, but if I did there's no backup...Still love the pen though.
The pen is very thick and as a result is not great ergonomically. The bolt action mechanism isn't great either. Also, the point at which the flashlight attaches isn't all that solid. Everything feels sort of gritty and it could be better finished overall.
The pen is noticeably thicker than an average/normal pen and with the flashlight attached is long enough that its use-able. My only issue is with the twist lock/magnet mechanism. The light wobbles when connected together. Its not a solid connection and for lack of better word it feels jenky. It does come with "keychain" caps so as to use the 2 seperate but with the pen being so big around and so short without the light attached its awkward to write with. In the end.... it is a good looking beautifully machined bolt action pen and a flashlight but i think you can find a petter more comfortable bolt pen or a better flashlight for around the same price.
Solid pen, crappy plastic flashlight that doesn’t work
Got the pen in mail the day after I got notified that the shipment was delayed, weird but second time that has happened. Charged the battery but could not get the flashlight switch to work. Contacted Drop who promptly shipped a replacement, got that last night and li and behold the flashlight does not even come on.
The integration of a pen and a flashlight is great. The posdibility to seperate the to 2 tools is also great.
I'd prefer, though, to have the oen a bit thinner.
