After a year or so of wearing this watch as a daily driver, it's been a solid performer. Stylish, the glass and metal finish has held up incredibly well. I don't abuse my watches but I expected a fair amount of wear and tear and was very surprised to see how well it's held up.
It still keeps time well. I haven't had any issues with it not keeping time as long as it's worn and used so the action can self-wind. There is one small catch to this which can be annoying. When pulling the crown to set the watch, the second-hand complication doesn't disengage. You have to wait for the watch to drain power and hope it lands close enough to the 60-second mark that you can set the minute and hour hand and then set and wind. Honestly, it's not that big a deal but other watches I've used disengage the second hand when you pull out the crown which makes setting the time a lot easier.
The watch is very stylish, I got black leather and silver bezel and it goes well with anything, suits, business casual, t-shirt and jeans. The leather is thick enough that it doesn't easily crease and it's been a staple in my wardrobe. As long as it keeps ticking it will live on my wrist.
Really like this overall. Been keeping time perfectly for the few weeks I've worn it. The combo of numbers on the upper half and notches for the lower half is an appearance component that I'm not in love with, it's just OK. I will be changing the blue band to a brown band, it's a bit too much blue for me. But for $100, I really have little to complain about. Lovely watch.
The watch is good looking, great thick band, and the display crystal is nice and flush. The watch doesn't keep time in wrist and power reserve does not seem to be working as well.I have to constantly adjust time.Is there a replacement???
It has honestly become one of my heavy rotations. It looks so much better in person and is quite beautiful on the wrist. It even feels great which is rare for me as most leather straps just don't hit me right.
Beautiful open heart watch with vibes from the past
This is a pretty field watch with a cushion case and the looks of a combined polished fixed bezel with a otherwise brush case. The dial has a curious design with painted numerals on the top half (from 9 to 3) and applied silver markers for the bottom half (from 4 to 8), but all attention is driven towards the open heart showing the balance wheel at 7 and the small seconds hand at 5. The partially skeletonized hours and minutes hands have reasonable lume close to the end, which makes reading time possible throughout the first few hours of the night. The signed crown, an see through case back and a reliable Miyota movement complete the package. The leather strap is a bit on the thick side, but quite flexible and comfortable to use. This is certainly not a classic field watch and, if you are looking for one, this is not the timepiece for you; however, if you want a watch that puts a modern spin on a classic design, this piece may pick your interest.
The pictures say it all. Cushion case, beefy strap. I could do without the open heart, esp with the subdial overlap, but hey, you know that before buying.
