I committed to the drop. I've never owned or written with a Fountain Pen before. However, the option of owning something limited edition that may be nothing more than a conversation piece for me is worth the $54.99.
I got an email this morning stating the drop had been unsuccessful. I was surprised and a little disappointed. I'm guessing MD added another day to the drop, which I appreciate. I'm hoping there are a few more souls out there who will commit.

BryanCNot only did they add another day, but it also won't even matter for people who have already joined, because it looks like they added another day for more people to join but also the drop will go through for everybody who joined even if they don't get to 300.

BryanCI'm not sure how these particular pens perform, but you should definitely try yours out when you get it. Fountain pens aren't for everyone, but the experience of writing with one is different than that of any other type of writing instrument. It's also nice to be able to choose any color of ink you can imagine if you decide to use the converter, especially if you like to use really extravagant colors like some people. I encourage you to at least give it a shot, especially since using could bring about more opportunities for the pen to start those conversations.
