heyfrankDisappointing. It supports SG-1000/3000, which was Sega's 1st 8-bit console and a master system prototype. It's not the SEGA Genesis we know and love.

heyfrankNo. This is basically a GBA clone with the ability to do OK emulation of Gameboy and Gameboy Color. NES is iffy. Anything else is probably no-go.

epsilon748I see, maybe perhaps they will issue a firmware update to make this possible in the future, i mean being since a raspberry pi and maybe a pi zero can both use RetroPie and do more than just this

heyfrankThey can, but they're for different purposes. The retropie is an emulator first and foremost, it emulates everything. This is a hardware clone. It's actually not emulating the Gameboy advance - it's running it natively on hardware. It also offers some emulation capability using GBA hardware to give you GB and GBC, with some poor choices of other emulators (NES, etc).
If you want straight emulation, I'd just go with an android phone with MyOldBoy/MyBoy/PPSSPP/Mugen64/DraStic/etc as your phone is going to smoke most emulation on RPi. Combine it with a Moga controller or PS4 controller over bluetooth and a phone clip, and you've got a great portable emulator.
If you want a clone console that can play your legit GBA carts, plus roms and some limited emulation, then that's what you'd get one of these for. Essentially this is a GBA SP in a GPA form factor with a lot of improvements (screen/battery/kcard for roms/emulation support for older consoles).

heyfrankI tried a bunch of different roms. Here's what works: Sega Master System Game Gear PC Engine(cart games not CD games) and of course GB/GBC/NES

PhringeDid they run well though? All the reviews have said this does really poorly on anything other than GB/GBC/NES.

epsilon748should work with snezziboy since it's a straight hardware clone of a gba. that runs quite a few snes games well on a gba.
gba homebrew scene has a LOT to offer.

PrapperdCan you recommend stuff similar to Metroid Fusion, Metroid Zero Misssion? Including Japanese only games. I intend to make my own homebrew games one day too.
