Got QT2. Sound hard to beat for $35. Slightly v-shaped tuning with natural warmth. Good base extension/quantity but not overpowering. Above average soundstage. Above average fit/comfort for metal housings. Not perfect but my favorite budget IEM so far. Compared to other IEMs I own:
  1. NuForce EDC3: Balanced tuning with good detail and average soundstage. Bass and treble are a slightly rolled-offed but well-controlled. Comfort is top notch. Nice bit of accessories included. Great accuracy/detail for the price.... but QT2 is 1/3 the price and a bit more fun.
  2. Tin T2 Pro: Brighter tuning with slightly rolled-off bass. Haven't tried bass mod but prefer not to tinker. Refreshingly open soundstage. Good detail and clarity. Lack of secure/comfortable fit has been a deal breaker for me so far. May try some different tips, but ugly cable bothers me too and not sure I want to spend any more money here.

Tin T2 pro is my favorite for sound quality in the under $50 category. I never use them as I just can't get a comfortable or secure fit with the included tips. The metal casing is a bit heavy, the nozzles are larger than average, and other IEMs do a much much better job of contouring to the ear. They are well built but look cheap. It's a shame because they really do sound great for the price. "Better" really boils down to what kind of sound you prefer. Honestly, I am surprised more people don't find the T2 really uncomfortable and cheap looking.

dgt5Im just tired of audio in any form with HQ Bass and muddy mids and highs. They just cater to hip hop.... I like bass but i much prefer clear mids and highs and a nice soundstage.

Got QT2. Clear and detailed sound. They fit to my ears better than Tin Audio T2, but Senfer XBA-6in1s fit better. The cable isn't very good, but you can replace it if you want. Anyway, I use Senfers most as they are most comfortable to *my ears* and I think the sound qualities of these 3 are comparable.

Great sound & Comfort
QT2s Everything about these IEMS are good. They're the only good thing that you get from this product though. Cable is very low quality, and so are the Earbuds. Cable: I used the stock cable for only about a week and ordered a different one as soon as possible. The production quality of the cable is very bad compared to a decent braided one. Would recommend buying a separate cable when you order these, but isn't needed. Eartips: Cheaply made, and aren't even the right diameter size that fits these IEMS. The diameter of the QT2s are around 5mm, the ones that come in the package are probably 3.5mm - 4mm but you can still manage to fit them onto the IEMS because of how cheap the materials are. I would also recommend buying some nicer eartips for the QT2s, these being more needed than the cable replacement in my opinion. Sound:

Highs: I wouldn't say these are the best for the higher range sound, they don't really sparkle or pop out, but it's not bad at all. They are slightly drowned out, but not terrible. Mids: Solid mids, vocals are present, and they sound very distinct and clear. Nothing really bad here. Bass: Now this is where these IEMS really shine. The bass extension of these IEMS are insane. They go very (Very) deep and it sounds very clear. They are a tad muddy but I wouldn't say overbearing. The sound of any kick drum, or any other drum of that matter sound phenomenal, sounds as if it were being played right in front of you. The QT2s are definitely a bass heavy IEM. Comfort: I've had no problem wearing these IEMS for hours on end, I can hardly feel them in my ear. I've been using these to play music off my Note 9, mostly in .WAV file format. I've bought a KZ cable and replaced the eartips with Dekoni Bulletz, and now I don't think I need any other IEM for anything else. -1 Star for bad stock cable and eartips.

Compared with Tin Audio T2 Pro, Sennheiser Ie800. Paired with Pixel 3, FiiO M9, and PreSonus StudioLive Rm32ai balanced xlr (mono) out through a Berhinger Powerplay PM1. Ok damn, these are my favorite IEM's by a comfy margin. They were so bright at first, even for my deaf ears, that I thought they were useless, but after burn-in they're perfect for both fun listening and personal monitoring during band rehearsals. They lack dynamics, which is fine for live sound, but every rock song recording with a solo guitar in the beginning sounds overly compressed once the rest of the band joins in. For whatever reason, I have a hard time discerning between my phone and my DAP with these. Maybe it's a sensitivity issue? On everything I own, including my Senny 6xx and Audeze LCD2 expose the phones DAC limitations.

Updating the review* I have wore these over the ear as a few people listed below, still the headphone's design is not my favorite. (That is a personal opinion). I prefer other headsets I have gotten on mass drop because they are not as big and bulky and are more formed for the ear. Also the sound quality isn't any better or any worse than the others. The only positive is that they are more aluminum which makes the casing more durable.

Thanks, my comment was more directed to the housing of the ear bud being a square block of aluminum. It feels more comfortable to me if I don't wear the cable over the ear and I switch the sides. Either way that is a personal opinion. There are plenty of "IEM" earbuds that are built specifically for the ear. I suggest you buy more "IEM's" to judge the difference for yourself.

I can't agree with that statement--it really depends on the shape of one's outer ear, canal, and angle of the canal versus the outer ear. I've had some that popped out more when the cable was worn over my ear than under.

Disappointed. USD 35 can be better spent on something else.

I like the sound quality, but the cable is starting to fail after only a month or so of use. I tried them with another 2-pin cable I have, and they still work fine, so I know it is the cable that came with the headphones. I am just disappointed in the quality of the cable, as I have not treated it roughly, and it is still starting to fail. For information, I got the QT3 with the in-line mic.

I have seen similar issues with these cheaper headphones. It looks like they’re definitely skimping on the cable when it comes to quality. At least it’s not the unit itself. I too have a ton of extra cables lying around that are much better quality, so it shouldn’t be too much of an issue. Contacting Massdrop for help is more work than just slapping on a replacement cable lol!

Good IEMs
These punch way above their price in sound signature and weight. Heavily Recommended.
