It occurs to me that the very same Zombies who come limping and crawling out of the dark recesses of the internet grunting: "OMG, it's a Fake, it's an Homage, it's Rolex-copy!" with their mangled jaws hanging and their dripping Zombie-eyeballs, each time these drop, are probably the same Zombie-boys who buy those truly unique dive watches--you know, the kind that aren't necessarily round, don't have recognizable indices, and don't have usable unidirectional timing bezels? Those guy must be opting for watches more like these!

RayFI went for a ‘fake one’ - sterile dial parnis. Even has an easy link system like the real thing. Sapphire crystal, Chinese movement. Interestingly, while it is a caller or office gmt, you can set the gmt hand in any position and not just by one hour jumps. $85 off amazon. Keeps good time, about +5 a day. 120 click unidirectional ceramic bezel.

WatchyoutalkingaboutIt's a good looker too! I've heard good things about the brand--I even bought one for my self. Has a sort of Daytona look about it. Haven't worn it yet, but I might one of these days--so fair warning!

RayFI really don’t get the point of buying fakes...

andrea_tNo one is discussing “real fakes” here—@Watchyoutalkingabout used the term euphemistically. He was actually referring to an homage watch, and pointing out its value.

RayFYeh I get it. But I am also a bit funny about homages... What's an homage really? And is there any value in it?
