Revue Thommen’s beginnings date all the way back to 1853 in the small Swiss town of Waldenburg. After nearly a century of crafting its own watch movements, the company began producing aviation instruments for the Swiss Air Force in 1936 Read More
I own a few RT watches and admire the build quality as well as the fit and finish. However I’d be remiss if I failed to point out that you can get one of these on ShopHQ for about the same price. And you can do 6 value pays if you so wish.
While the price isn’t outrageous, the value pays make it less obvious to a spouse that you just dropped nearly $400 on a watch. 😬
Actually, I think these are probably perfectly decent watches—at least comparable to, if not superior to Seikos in the same price bracket. The movement works, the materials are good quality, the style and looks are appealing.
Regarding that price, I’d much rather spend my three-hundred big ones on any of these RTs, vs. any of the lackluster Seiko 5 “Sport” series watches currently available.
Anyone on the fence about these watches based on MD’s barely acceptable photos should DISREGARD them completely and search out better shots (more accurate depictions) elsewhere on the net. A good place to start is the link below provided by @jontpt .
Any reason why the bezel doesn't line up with the indices? Any reason why it needs to be 16mm thick? Any reason why the date window sits where it does? Any reason why... forget it.
RayFI've checked other pics and you're probably right. Was sort of surprised by these obvious flaws, but I should have known better. Still, the 16+mm height is a no-go for me. Prefer my Glycine sub at less than 11mm, and the prices are very similar.
I owned one of these watches - they're very attractive pieces, well built, and totally worth the money. I liked it better than either of my Revue Thommen sub homages.
I think that maybe, Drop should change it’s name again, perhaps BIGdrop ?

Wait a minute, I’m having Groundhog Day deja vu here. Isn’t this just a different listing for a watch that just dropped last week or have I gone right out of my tree?
Looking at the picture's quality, I think the person posting these adds should replace his iPhone 2 and get something with a more decent camera. Maybe he can grabe a good camera on MD?
Lol if I were actually concerned about what makes you happy, I'd have used that expression.
Let's explain in terms you might actually understand...if I buy an AP Oak or a Hublot, I never need to worry about screws missing or coming loose (i.e., from the bezel). In your case, if your brain were a bezel, I'd say it's highly debatable.
One thing that's not debatable? You getting easily riled up, and spending waaay too much time in MD comments lol

Ever notice when guys type ’lol’ they’re not actually laughing?
And while none of us can hear the sound of you not laughing, we’d all love to see the AP Oak you’re not wearing!
