I bought this last drop, and the Nitecore 14500 battery doesn't fit inside.
Disappointed.

DuhNorrisSorry for the trouble. Found out that Nitecore 14500 is 51.5mm length. Technically it can fit. The designed max space is 52.5mm. May I know more details of why it does not fit? I'd like to have it revised in next production.

ReyLightThe battery itself fits inside, but the spring tension is way to hard to properly screw the head of the flashlight back on. The spring is so tight I cannot get threads on the main section to even touch the ones on the head, let alone screw it back together.

DuhNorrisWould you pls meassure the length of the battery? or try to insert the battery from the tail. Do you have other batteries?

ReyLightJust got in on the drop, wondering if the only 14500 batteries that will fit comfortably are the high-drain flat top types (~49.5mm)? Thanks!

ReyLightFrom my measurement, the full length of the battery comes in at 52mm. A AA battery works fine, but I bought it intending to use with the 14500.

DuhNorrisIt looks like standard AA batter is ~50.5mm. I'm thinking we will need to purchase a flat top like these efest ones (http://www.batteryjunction.com/14500-category.html), they all seem to be the right size. I'm just not sure which one is best for this use. However, since they're not "protected" I'd just make sure you have a charger with over charge protection.

kenichiwaYour probably right, but they should have noted in the drop that the light need specific batteries, I would have bought the right ones if they said so. ☹

DuhNorrisAlso to note, I was able to fit it in and close it. But the battery did not work at all, even fully charged too.

andreisevBut they weren't Nitecore's 14500 were they? As I stated in my last post I was able to fit it in but the light still didn't work.
It was promised in the drop that the light would take 14500's, didn't specify which kind, so I would expect it would work with all types.

DuhNorrismaybe your nitecores were not charged? As I understand it (and got from my Xtars) LiIon batteries come uncharged.

DuhNorrisAlso, I am not saying it was your fault the batteries barely fit in the light. However, Nitecore and Efest batteries are really bad performers. This site : lygte-info.dk has the best resource of reviews and measurements for chargers and batteries and he really dislikes efest and nitecore. So, maybe get other batteries which perform better (since power and longevity is something you want in a light) and just forget about the misbehaving nitecores. I really don't think you need more than 2 batteries for 1 light and 10-11 bucks is not that much to pay for better batteries.
