The Rider Boot Co. Reverso combines the ruggedness of American workwear with a sleek European shape. It’s built on the company’s 42 last, with a 4 + 3 plain-toe derby design and a full leather insole. The Reverso takes its name from its two leather variations—smooth and reverso—which feature the same leather applied in different ways, with either its soft face or its rough back turned outward. While the leather hails from some of founder Ron Rider’s favorite tanneries in Italy and the United States, the shoes themselves are constructed by artisans in Italy.
