Can you tell me more about the difference in the soles between the two versions of the shoe: reverso/roughout and smooth? It looks like the smooth leather version has a more rugged sole, potentially taller even, than the reverso/roughout. Is the smooth leather version more suitable to outdoor/harsh weather use? Will one last longer than the other?

zensamuelI have a pair with the normal dianite style sole - the non lugged version available in this sale. Mine are very durable, showing minimal wear after ~50 wears. I have a bit of heel edge wear but that is normal for my shoes due to my gate. I can't speak to the lugged sole on the smooth leather versions, although I would say that it is for sure more suitable for hard weather. That said, the design of these boots is pretty sleek and I personally feel that the thick lugged sole isn't as ideal of a fit for the shape of the boot. But that's just my opinion. These are really nice boots, can't go wrong either way, I just ordered my second pair, the black reverso.
