I've had mine for over a year now and it's still my favorite walking around town knife, I absolutely love it. Great price for a Rike knife with decent steel. Blade shape, length, handle feel and grip all just feel right to me.
I love the snap as it locks open and I find it quite simple to close one handed.
This knife is large, impressive, and well made. It is well designed and has a commanding look and style. I received the knife in good time and it was very sharp right out of the box. This was a great purchase!
Love the blade shape and the overall feel of this knife. I have had no problems with the detent, like some of the other reviewers. However, the frame lock was very stiff when I first got it. Now, after breaking it in for a long time, it has loosened up some -- but still is a little sticky. Other than this issues, I have grown to enjoy this knife a great deal.
Absolutely love the look, feel and materials of this knife. The fit and finish are A+. I really appreciate the larger sized blade. My only complaint is the action of the knife. It's stiff to deploy and shut, and the pivot feels gritty. EDIT: After I took the knife apart and added a drop of lube, the action has become much better, and in fact this knife has become my current EDC.
Just got mine 2 days ago. I love the design and the fit and finish is superb, but....the detent is super tight. I've been flipping it constantly trying to break it in but I have a feeling it's going to take a while. It came hair popping sharp out of the case and it shipped sooner than I was expecting, which is a plus. All things considered, it is a great knife, so far, except for the detent issue...hence the 4 stars.
There's hardly anything to dislike about the knife. However, for me, it's a knife I like but not a knife I love. It appears to be well made and opens readily with the flipper in spite of its considerable size. I suppose the downside for me is that it seems rather mainstream, nothing very distinctive in its styling.
