Had a chance to handle one at LVCKS and it definitely felt more for novelty than practicality given its size in hand. Reminds me of my Spyderco Ladybug, seems like a great little knife that takes up no space until you have to use it and it becomes more dangerous to use than it's worth because of how hard it is to deploy and handle such a small folder. But unlike the ladybug, which does everything practical better, the hummingbird is meant to be a desk ornament that can perform tricks like opening envelopes. So for that Rike was smart about putting more into aesthetics than practicality.
vynceWhat did you find so difficult about deploying it? It's a flipper. I wear a size large glove and I think its a great little knife. Snappy action, too. Even better than my wife's CKF Mini-Decepticon. (she collects tiny folders). It's no hard-use knife by any means, but i certainly wouldn't call it dangerous to use, lol.
