From its aggressive, skeletonized tanto blade to its futuristic, grooved titanium handle, the Rike Knife M1 looks like something from another dimension. Armed with an S35VN blade and a titanium frame lock, this tanto flipper is well-equipped for tough cuts and pierces. Though it measures 9 inches overall, it clocks in at just 5.6 ounces for ease of carry and control. The spine of the M1 looks almost reptilian: It features a bevy of cutouts and a scalloped groove at the base of the blade for added grip retention. Finishing the design is a 3D-milled titanium clip for right-handed carry.

Developed by Crucible Industries (one of the leading manufacturers of specialty steels for the cutlery industry) and Chris Reeve (arguably the most famous knifemaker in the world), S35VN is perhaps the most balanced blade steel ever created in terms of all-around performance. It’s made through a process of powdered metallurgy known as CPM, which results in near perfect consistency in the distribution of carbides. Compared to conventional melting practices, the CPM process produces a steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness.
