For anyone asking, no, the Expected Value of cards in this set will not net you almost $600. That is not why this set is so highly wanted and so highly priced. The draft format of this set is one of the best of all time, and the boxes are extremely hard to come by. Originally printed in 2010, Rise of the Eldrazi has very unique cards in it, and many of them have made the cut into Cube land where only the best of the best limited cards go.
So, if you want to crack these packs for value, you're best suited somewhere else. If you want to crack these packs and draft them, then by all means it is worth it.

SupernautThe expected value of this set is lower than 200 dollars. There is no validating spending 400 dollars extra on a mediocre draft set, when Innistrad is a set that exists; having both a better draft format and a higher expected value at a lower cost per box. Hell, you can even go on Ebay and just straight up buy Japanese sealed Booster boxes of this set for cheaper than this, and you can buy a Portugese sealed Booster box of this set for half this cost.

WaterseasWell, unless you wanna, you know, draft this format instead of Innistrad. Since they're different sets.
The only English booster box I found on Amazon is listed at $699. So its essentially $100 off. Most people don't wanna learn a new language to draft.

SupernautLearn a new language to draft? Come on, gimmie a break... Many people know all the cards, but even if you didn't you could easily look them up or have a cheat sheet if you REALLY wanted to draft this set (which I'm guessing you would if you're spending hundreds of dollars on a box to draft).
