I love Rite in the Rain notebooks, but this doesn't seem like a great deal, with only one notebook included. I prefer the spiral-bound All Weather Notebooks with their plastic covers. They don't really need a special pouch. I also find pencils are the best writing instruments for these notebooks. For the cost of this drop, you can buy six tactical size notebooks and some nice pencils.

At the base price, this is a $5 savings on our MSRP and comes with the notebook, cover, and one of our all-weather pens. That's not too bad a deal to start. Pencils do work great, and ballpoint pens work great, too. Try Zebras, Fishers, Uni Jetstreams and Power Tanks, Parker Jotters, etc. The included RITR pen is a stud on its own merit, but by no means are you required to use any special inks with our stuff.
