I purchased one of these from Best Buy and couldn't get it to work properly after 30+ minutes of troubleshooting. Ended up returning it.

I'm assuming this pairs with a phone via Bluetooth and the Google Assistant is running through the phone? If so, then you don't need this and can activate Google Assistant through your Android phone. Does this provide some increase in sound quality or some other functional Improvement over just using the phone? I'm open to finding out how this improves the experience.

K.T.NThe microphones are supposed to be better at picking up what you're saying and the activation hotword than what you typically find in a smartphone. Additionally, it uses a line-out for audio so you can use it in cars that have an Aux input, but no Bluetooth.
