I can't speak for the Mystery Tales expansion, but the base game of Robinson Crusoe is absolutely fantastic. It's a super thematic cooperative game. The game comes with a bunch of scenarios that definitely play differently from one another, but even the base scenario feels like a full game on its own. The sense of exploration is top notch and the survival aspect both makes sense and is easy to understand once you've gotten through the rules. It's a game that's also pretty easy to play with people who don't necessarily consider them gamers, so long as one of the players knows how the game is played, the phase-order and so on. It's a hard game, but it doesn't feel too unfair most of the time. Most of the trouble you come across, is initiated by the players themselves. GET Robinson Crusoe if you're into thematic coop boardgames!
