Just get the Newest version of the Corsair Void Pro Wireless 7.1 surround sound headset. I hate virtual surroundf sound on gaming headsets but Corsair nailed it with these and it actually worls very well. Choose the "FPS Competitive" EQ setting with 7.1 surround turned on and dominate the competition in any FPS PVP games. Pair this headset with Corsairs M65 Pro RGB mouse with the built in thumb sniper button and FPS games will bow before your glory and domination. Also the build quality is 2nd to none in gaming headsets. made with real metal aircraft grade aluminum to keep it strong while also remaining light weight. Not to mention that the style, in my opinion looks better than most others and was designed by BMW's AMG racing style and design division. ALL for under $100 and you will not find a better option / Currently on sale for $79!!!! thats insane for everything you get with these. JUST MAKE SURE THESE ARE THE "VOID PRO" AND NOT "JUST VOID" as they are new and rebuilt from the ground up with better angled 50 mm drivers that are just amazing. https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-VOID-Wireless-Gaming-Headset/dp/B0748N6796/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1513009517&sr=1-1&keywords=corsair+void+pro+rgb+wireless+7.1

I've had the analogue version for a while now and I'm selling them. They were alright, but the freq response is really different and almost painful at times (depends on the game). Many games don't use surround and they're definitely not good for any other use. The input volume of the microphone way too low, almost unusable unless I bent the mic to the point of nearly breaking it in order to get it close to my mouth. It wasn't worth the buy for be because I barely had a use for them. With the said, they are comfortable, and very effective one you can get a use out of them. I'd personally rather save a little more money to get a more expensive pair.

Does the control part have another input at all? As in could I send another input outside of my pc (other than the bluetooth connection) to the speakers? Or is it just the USB from the PC. wondering if this might be an ok cheap solution to having my tv connected to my pc surround speakers.
Other question, would hooking up my pc surround speakers to this instead of to mobo sound output have any difference in quality? Does it act as a decent external soundcard?

MattDropHi Matt. There is a 3.5 mm stereo input next to the 5.1 inputs. I use it for a microphone. Also, the surround output seems on par with mobo analog outputs.

I've had the 5.1 version a couple years ago and it lasted about 6 months before the mic broke and my skull cracked i would not recommend this uncomfortable and cheap build headset to my worst enemy!

Holy Crap $89 is a fantastic price. I paid $219 for the 5.1 Digital model. Here is a current add from Media Markt: https://www.mediamarkt.ch/de/gaming/pc-gaming/pc-gaming-zubehoer/pc-headset-/roccat-kave-xtd-51-digital/idplp243wlkb
These are the only Headsets you can take your cell phone calls on without removing your headset. You can also plug another(not so heavy) headset into the controller. You can also plug in up to 5.1 speakers into the controller. Then just hit a button to switch over. Now you can still hear your favorite Twitch streamer when you go to the bathroom.

I wholeheartedly discourage anyone from buying this piece of gamer-junk. I had one a while back and it dug a hole in my skull. If you're looking for a "gaming" headset I'd suggest something like the G4ME ONE\ZERO or the Philips SHP9500. Edit: I just noticed the drop for the CB-1 is up right now, so that'd also be a good option.

jeaki definitely agree the CB1s are god tier for sub 100 dollar and then you just need a add on mic to make a good "gaming" headset

I honestly think someone needs to dumb down the explanation and description of these items before people will start biting. Probably good deals but I honestly don't understand which prices go with which items and the difference between each... I'm sure I'm not alone and I'm guessing that's why 0 have sold.
