I was using ROCCAT devices for a few years, and I was really disappointed in build quality and price. They break way too fast.

jedi-hamsterNot true at all. My kone pure is better quality than the multiple Logitech and Razer devices I've used, and has been treated badly and yet works perfectly. Maybe give some specific examples instead of giving vague 'they break too fast', what breaks too fast? Can't believe 3 people upvoted this.

jedi-hamsterBe careful about ANY company these days because it will come down to total blind luck, when it comes to receiving any input device being free from any defects.
I stopped trumpeting any company now about them being the ones to produce PERFECTION in anything, mainly due to them listening to their accountants when it comes to cost cutting in the production of these devices.
Any company that ignores their accountants are the ones to buy from but they may not last in the current, cut throat world of manufacturing.

ElrickMouse manufacturing is not cut throat but rather a high profit per mouse sold which is why you get a ton of random brands making mice also. Problem is that there are too many competitors but if you are Logitech or Razer this isn't really a issue. But Finalmouse got away with selling their cheap $13 mouse with an upgraded 3310sensor and clicks (+$5) for $70.

jedi-hamsterI've actually been really impressed with my KPM's fit & finish, but it too is starting to exhibit the double-click problem. Maybe Roccat could be choosing better switches, but ultimately it's just the switch, which can easily be replaced when I get frustrated enough. I'm not sure how much overlap there is between the keyboard and mouse people here on MD, but as for the former, one of the reasons we love mechs is exactly because when a switch fails, it's pretty easily replaced without having to ditch the entire keyboard; I figure the same should hold for good mice?
