To prevent low-end noise (like traffic and air conditioners) from being recorded, switch from the mic’s native 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range to the high-pass filter at 80 Hz. Use the -10 dB level attenuation for live music and close interviews, and the 20 dB level boost when recording with your DSLR. Great for when you’re shooting non-stop, the 9V battery is good for about 70 hours of use.
