andrew.bI got one from Amazon warehouse about a year ago and it's still going strong. Works well in a ~500sq/ft room. No filters, just clean it out every so often with a bit of vinegar.
The only complaint I have about it is the LED is bright enough to be kinda obnoxious if you want this in say, your bedroom. I put a little piece of electrical tape over it. I'd also get the white model over black to better conceal any hard water deposits.

andrew.bI bought one last year on Amazon. Mine is still going strong like JBenPiel stated too. There are no filters, I cleaned it with white Vinegar once every 7 - 10 days. I have 1 in the bedroom and 1 in the family room. Regarding the bright LED, it is nothing compared to the other humidifiers I purchased, just 1 light and all I did was turn the unit 90 degrees and the LED faces away from the bed...problem solved.
