Fortnine did a great video on earplugs. At a noise reduction rating of 27db I believe even the heavy metal versions would be insufficient. https://youtu.be/eEdf0R5ypsg

I work at an industry with relatively loud machinery, I use disposable 3ms on the daily, but they make my ears really sore. Was wondering if these are bad to use 8+ hours a day, and if the 27 db ones would be enough for say the noise of an angle grinder.

I used these in a woodworking shop on and off 8 hours a day. I didn't get any discomfort from them and it brought the noise to a manageable level. These drop the sound level a decent amount, but if you are working with an angle grinder on metal then I would suggest over-the-ear protection.

Can the heavy metal protection which provides 27db attenuation be used for firearm protection?

Tried them on in an indoor range, they do work and doesn't ring my ears but kinda leans toward the uncomfortable side so I wore overears as well. But I feel like they'll be sufficient for an outdoor range.

Why is Drop still selling the Firearm earplug after all the lawsuits brought by injured Armed Service members? Shouldn't there at least be a warning that they may cause irreparable harm if used as intended?

Wow. Find a clean onesie. Get dressed. Go outside. It’s almost like someone should hold drop accountable for shady business tactics…
