To best enjoy every flavor in a nice bottle of wine, you need to let it breathe. Instead of grabbing an expensive decanter, this all-in-one tool will keep your wine aerated for a robust flavor Read More
I doubt this is very good at all, even if moderately cheapo.
Decanting is a process, not an instantly acquired trait.
Let it air by sitting in the glass, swivel it a tiny bit and you'll have the same effect.
If you can't afford a cheapo decent decanter, you're probably not drinking wine that needs to aerate much anyway. (Maybe just pour it into a pitcher and then back into the bottle if you're desperate, sheesh.)
RukiiuuI would not call this a decanting stopper as MD has done. This is an aerator. aerators have been around since I was legal to drink (33 years ago). The decanting and aerating achieve two related things. Decanting will aerate (over time) and separate sediment (which was originally its purpose) from wine. Aerators will aerate but much faster.
Some people swear by aerators thinking in makes cheap wines taste better. I'm on the fence. Should be noted to becareful to use either if you have really good, old, and expensive wine, but then if you have the ability to purchase that you know this already.
