A subtle 36-millimeter timepiece for a night on the town or a day at the races, the Rossling & Co. Modern 36 is powered by a Ronda Slimtech quartz battery. The dial is very unassuming: It has slim indices at every hour and a subdial at 6 to track running seconds with equally subdued markers—no Arabic numerals to be found. The markers are polished to match the stainless steel case, and the whole dial is protected under a sapphire crystal. If you accidentally spill your cocktail on it, not to worry. The watch is water resistant to 50 meters, too.
