Ordered XL. Still a bit snug, and I am usually just a Large. However, very warm and well made. Nice features and the reversible side is VERY bright (safety orange).
The jacket is VERY puffy. Like a lot puffy. I was interested more in a slim, bomber jacket. I realize part of this is on me. However, some of the pictures don't do justice to just how puffy this is. I usually where a size large t-shirt. Putting on this jacket almost doubled how wide I look.
I'm 5'11" and come in around 240lbs, and an XL is cut far too short for me to wear. Buyer beware when it comes to sizing, though otherwise they seem to be quality jackets, my daughter is quite happy with hers.
Bought mine in coyote. Great color (outside). The bright orange interior's a bit interesting, like an old school deer hunting jacket on steroids. It's fine though, not planning on wearing it inside out ever. Mine fit fine. Sleeve length fine, body fit was a bit large but acceptable and if you're buying it to wear as a fall and winter jacket (hint: don't buy this if you're not), leaves plenty of room for layers underneath (sweater, sweatshirt, etc). I struggled with giving this a "3" vs. a "4" rating, because I think the jacket looks nice, fits fine, and it IS extremely warm in colder weather! However, it's very "crinkly". I mean to the point of being downright noisy. Every little move you make with the jacket on generates a crinkly noise that is quite loud, and after wearing it for about 15-20 minutes, walking out of the house, bending over to get in your car, putting stuff in your car, driving around in your car and turning/adjusting in your seat, you get it, every day average day-in-the-life stuff, this things makes a heckuva racket with each small little movement. Drives my wife nuts. She specifically asks me NOT to wear it when its cold out and we're going someplace, or if we're traveling back east to cold weather and we have to pack a jacket! Haha. I'm thinking and hoping that it will "break in" and soften up in time, with wear and use, and that this aspect of it will become (much) less noticeable and evident. Because I generally like the coat and would wear it more, if it were a bit less stiff and a bit more broken in.... Anyway, it gets a "3" for now, and if/when it breaks in, I reserve the right to upgrade my rating to a "4" or possibly a "5"...
Voiceman1000Have you considered washing it? Does Rothco even recommend that? If so, washing (low heat, gentle cycle, no dryer) might quiet it down considerably. I’d be curious.
My jacket fits. But it has very baggy sleeves. Suprising for me as the photos didnt communicate that.
It feels awkward and hard to move around . I can only wear this in colder weather and keeps warm very well.
unfortunately due to the bulk this wont be a day to day jacket
