An update for the group, we have just been informed by the vendor that the units are backordered due to production issues in Japan that recently arose. The vendor will have a more solid ETA for the mechanical pencils in the next couple of days. In the meantime we are contacting other vendors in an effort to find the items and get them to you faster. Rest assured that we will keep you updated throughout the process.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 5/13 or sooner if something comes up.

elimelendezI am sorely disappointed with Massdrop. My order was placed April 16th, it is May 6th and it appears unlikely that I'll have this gift for my daughter's graduation.
The savings with Massdrop are very small especially when shipping is added. The savings is negligible for Amazon Prime customers who can place an order and get it in TWO DAYS.

griz326Hey @griz326 -- This has been a headache for everyone who joined the drop, and for our Logistics team as well. We thought this inventory was available for immediate shipping, so this is two layers of bad information that we've been working from.
That being said, the Expected Shipping Date is always posted in the bottom of the drop - in this case, for the drop ending on April 23rd, the date given was May 7th.
I am not in any way suggesting that this delay is acceptable, or that your assessment of value vs. waiting time is off-base. My point here is to make sure that expectations are in line with how Massdrop operates. There are many advantages to buying here as part of a group; however there are, and always will be, risks involved with ordering items that we don't have on the shelf.
I am working closely with @elimelendez and our logistics team to find the fastest resolution we can. Your comments are valid, they are being heard, and we are doing everything we can. Thank you for posting here so that we're aware of the frustration and can work to improve fulfillment.
