Unfortunately, this is not the news anyone wanted to hear, but we finally have an update on what happened:
We received two pieces of bad information from the vendor about the status of this order. As it turns out, the quantity that we were told was available had all been earmarked to fill older backorders. This information was not forwarded to us at any point in our interaction with the vendor even after repeated inquiries into the status of our order.
The shipment arrived on time, but our allotment was not processed as initially promised and what we were basing our updates on. The next available quantities of Rapid Pro ballpoint pens will be delivered the last week of 2014 or possibly the first week of 2015.
Obviously, this delay is frustrating. There's nothing we can do to speed up the process, but the vendor will be sending everyone who joined the drop a set of Black and Blue refills to try and make up for the longer-than-expected shipping time.
If you would rather cancel your order, please email support@massdrop.com and we will process a quick and full refund for you ASAP. You can also use this email if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks for your patience, we'll post another update when we can absolutely verify the order is on its way from the vendor to our warehouse.
Anyone who chose the Black finish will receive the refills in a separate package.
Anyone who chose the Chrome finish will receive the refills with the pen.
Both the refills and the pens are due to arrive at our warehouse on the 16th and we estimate they will be shipped out the following Monday. Expect an update from us on 1/16 or sooner if anything changes.
