How would this pen compare to a zebra 701? I use them for work and am very happy with the all metal mod, but always looking for an upgrade.

BenkThe mod is to take a 701 and remove the plastic that the clickie is housed in and replace it with the metal one from a 401. You then have one awesome all metal pen that is SOLID and a great mostly metal pen. Cost for it all is about $7.00 for the set.

BenkDitto... love my Zebra F-701/402 modded pens (F-702??). Hard to beat at that price. Had a Rotring 600 Newton years ago that was quite well made, but just never felt right in my hand (hexagon cross-section and thickness). I'm always tempted by these smaller Rotring pens, but have never jumped. Curious how they compare as well.

BenkHere are instructions on the Zebra F-701/F-402 mod, which results in an inexpensive - but really nice - all metal pen that will take a Fisher refill:

BenkWondering if you're a contributor at ThinBlueFlorida, which included a review of the F-701 and some commentary about a partial mod.
