I recently bought the Nichia version. The build quality seems excellent, the user interface is easy to learn, and the various output levels are useful. The beam and tint of the Nichia version are very nice - with a good mixture of throw and flood for a light of this type. The run-times at each output level are very good - the 2,200 mAH battery, oil heat-sink, and solid build explain the 97-gram weight of the light without the pocket clip (105 g. with clip attached). On the High and Turbo levels the light level steps-down after about two minutes, which is a good thing in my opinion. I believe a reviewer measured the step-down of his sample of the XP-G3 version from the Turbo level (2,000 lumens) to about 350 lumens, and from the High level (1,000 lumens) to about 250 lumens. The instructions that came with my light listed the claimed run-times at each output for the Nichia version, as well as for the XP-G3 version. My light arrived with an extra charging port cover, and some paracord that can be threaded through the attachment loop at the bottom of the light. The only problem I have with the light is not really a problem - just a dilemma. The weight of the light makes it a little hefty to carry with me on my commute. However, the light is so nice, and so useful, that I am motivated to leave other items at home to allow me to carry the E300S.

NorthernHarrierNice. Thanks for your thoughts on this light. I've seen this relatively new brand from an email I received from BatteryJunction as well as on the flashlight forums and the reviews on BLF (http://budgetlightforum.com/node/64540) and CPF (http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?456417-Review-RovyVon-E300S-(Nichia!)-Flashlight&p=5290078) seem quite positive. if you can look past the awkward brand name, "Rovyvon" and "Angel Eyes" model name, I like the Al body (vs. plastic on most others), the form factor, different modes and light levels as well as runtimes. It's also a bit different in that you hold the light up vertically instead of horizontally and there are two switches that have slightly different operating modes and also shared ones. I tend to like lights with replaceable batteries but I have warmed up to lights with built-in batteries: I used to edc a Surefire Titan Plus and a couple of Fenix lights but, in the last couple of years, I've edc'd the Nitecore Tip v1 and the Lumintop Geek. I still have a SF C2 + Malkoff Drop-in or Zebralight H600w MkIV in my courier bag though, just in case.

NorthernHarrierCould I ask, what are the listed run times for the XP-G3 and for the Nichia version, especially for the low and medium output levels? I could only find the information for the XP-G3 version.

ClefI’m sorry that I am not going to have access to my light and the instructions for the next week. I will say that I don’t believe the listed runtimes for the low and medium levels are 100% accurate, anyway.

ClefI initially listed runtimes from ZeroAir's review of the Nichia version of this light. However, it appears that the manuals for the Nichia versions is the exact same manual as the Cree XP-G3 S5 version... i.e you will likely still see the max output as "2000lms" when the Nichia is only capable of 1200lms. Even ZeroAir calls this out in his review, "Unfortunately the manual hasn’t been updated to reflect the lower output that Nichia provides. So be aware that the numbers on the manual (and also on the bezel of the light itself) are not accurate for the Nichia version." Hopefully, Rovyvon has updated the manuals with the correct Nichia runtimes and NortherHarrier's version has the updated numbers.
