Received mine last week, but the left rubber feet had weird streaks on them and had a small hole (didn't punch through it though). It looks like it was tempered with or put under pressure from some careless machining. The wrist rest itself, though, was in stellar condition.
I finally received the wrist rest and the machining is clean.
But there some streak that stained from miss handling or etc leaving darker shade streaks.
Not exactly sure how to remove streaks. I've tried wiping with WD-40 and 90% Isopropyl Alcohol
and it doesn't seem to do anything.
Any recommendation to remove these dark streaks?
Received both of mine the last couple days. Packaging is absolutely terrible. It's in a small flimsy box inside an unpadded plastic mailer bag. The grey one I ordered has a small dent on the corner I assume from getting banged up along the way (the cardboard box is beat to hell). The black one I ordered is missing both of the feet. The entire aluminum section and the rubber that goes with it are missing.
While these look cool I am concerned with the durability of aluminum for a wrist rest. Many many years ago I owned an enermax aurora keyboard which had a built in aluminum rest that, after hours and hours of use, became pitted and oxidized. I wonder if it was because of cheap anodization or even just paint rather than ano. The damage itself was pretty bad so I wonder if this will be the case with this rest.
Finally arrived!! The Titanium color is ever so slightly lighter than the NYM96, but you can barely tell in most lighting conditions. Combined, these make a seriously hefty setup! No quality issues either, here's hoping the previous issues have all been sorted in this batch.
internattJust out of curiosity, where are you located? The tracking number I was given keeps telling me that the carrier hasn't even received my package yet ):
