I got my marble wrist rest last week. It cracked from bottom to top without even using it!

I don't think this is a crack! It's the grain of the stone ... Can you feel a distinct cracking on the surface?

I've got these going horizontally all across mine from the first drop. Mine are big enough to have picked up some grime, and since mine's white, it shows up quite a bit.
Not disagreeing with Kevin that it's natural stone, just that it's not a good design.

Yeah, it's a beautiful wrist rest. Unfortunatelly very brittle and not well thought as a design.

Ah okay, from your previous photo it looked like just the grain of the stone. Oh well, thanks for sharing your experience, this is 1 more reason for me to pass on this drop for now until the design is changed (although it is really tempting and gorgeous).

I think the wooden base started to twist and it's affecting the marble top.

It's unsealed wood so any humidity causes it to warp, I wound up with 3 and they all warped heavily causing half the wood to detach from it.
