Mechanical Keyboard Sound Isn't That Simple
Figure 1: I couldn't think of a more literal way to represent this article if I tried... Looking back just a few years ago, there’s no doubt that the huge influx of people that joined the hobby at the peak of the COVID pandemic were drawn to keyboards by way of YouTube, TikTok, and other audio-visual content platforms. Even as the output from these content creators has waned in recent months, their collective impact and legacy on the keyboard hobby is rather firmly etched in the history books. After a few weeks the keyboard sometimes did not 'start up' when I started up my PC. The solution was unplugging the USB everytime that happened and it would start working properly again. After a few months the keystrokes started to press double letters if I only pressed a key once. I only used it for gaming in that time, so it did not matter. Later on I needed to write more on the keyboard and noticed it was not only one key, but it became more keys. I thought something was wrong with my motherboard, tried all different USB plugs.... but nothing solved it except for turning on some setting in windows that does not repeat keystrokes within a certain amount of time. When I tried my boyfriends Logitech keyboard for a little while I experienced none of the above faults, so the problem was not my PC but the keyboard.
Eventhough the keyboard looks great, I don't think it is worth the money if it breaks down after a few months.
I have now bought a new keyboard (from a big brand) that works perfectly.
