Does this(2nd gen) have per-key backlighting like the embedded RC930 104-key video shows? Or is this the same zoned back-lighting as1st gen?
Also just a shot in the dark as I haven't seen any info confirming but is there any scripting or software API for messing with the lighting for reactive backlighting? I assume if there is a desktop application to customize there is a way to hack something together to emualte whatever they are doing.

MadLittleModsIt's per-key, there's a few premade reactive modes but I believe it doesn't let you program your own mode like the K70 RGB boards do

DraxorThanks for the reply @Draxor! Can you point me to a source or video showing off this functionality? Do you already own one (care to create a video)?

MadLittleModsHi,
member @Pylo had been so nice to make the software files available through Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ttwsko7lvt7c0ve/AADmcqi3kPVyERhIsNlb8AXSa?dl=0
There you find the manual, and reactive modes aren't mentioned at all if i havn't overlooked something. I can't look right now, because my RK is not at home right now and the software won't open without keyboard attached.
The final conclusion of the old discussion had been, not a genuine Topre feeling, different, but still good and a lot of bang for the buck.

Makami@Makami I am more concerned if it is actually per-key RGB lighting. I haven't been able to find a source or video of this. Everything I can find says that it is zoned lighting.

MadLittleModsCan confirm it's per-key. 1st gen is zone-lighting but that's since been changed in the 2nd gen.

MadLittleModsDon't have a source video by hand, but I'll record a short demo and post a link in a bit
EDIT: alright, my RC930 is not cooperating, so here's picture of the per key backlight programming, the reactive modes are on FN + `-6 ` Programmed setting 1 solid colors 2 'Star shower', 2 settings, lights up the key in a different color and fades out or lights up the key pressed and all keys in a 1u depending on whether or not you activated it once or twice 3 'Function Riffle', 2 settings, lighting up row in which the key is pressed in a different color or in a circular pattern 4 'Backlight Breathe' should be self explanatory, 2 settings, one cycles through backlight colors 5 'Sunset or Relax Mode' same as breathing but only uses bright/dark colors 6 'Demo Mode' there's about 8 demo modes, it's just lights jumping around on the board, illuminating pixel by pixel, or just an RGB demonstration with a colorwheel/waterfall
I believe there's a few things I missed on some modes but that's just what i know by mind
