Not used to sizing being done the US way where it measures the chest length on one side in inches (In UK it says for chest between 48-50" etc.) - What size would be most right for me with 50" chest? Also does anyone know if these are machine washable? Thanks for reading.

TJB47I generally wear garments with about 4" of space in the chest (2-5" would be the broad range). Since I have a 37" chest, that means I get garments with around a 40-41" chest measurement (so a small, in this case). For a 50" chest you'd be in the XL-XXL area.
Definitely not machine washable - hand wash only! Animal fiber sweaters don't need to be washed often though.

TJB47That's not *usually* the way sizing is done here in the US. Most places (suits etc.) are all the way around.

IanAndersonSize advice for a US 42 chest with 36 inch waist? Usually a large, but previous posts have me considering medium. FWIW, I normally just go with large in Johnstons, jcrew etc.
