DernubenfriekenRaw denim can be sanforized or unsanforized (the large majority is sanforized). The sanforization process is different than the washing process, so denim can still be raw while also being sanforized. Almost all raw denim on the market is like this, with the exception of the 'shrink to fit'-type stuff. Hope that makes sense!
