So this is the first minimalist wallet I’ve seen with the flashlight/pen elastic band feature and I’m intrigued. I carry my wallet in my back pocket so I’m not worried about too bulky for my front pocket. Is there anyone that can speak to the effectiveness of the flashlight/pen setup? Would this be too bulky for back pocket carry? What was you’re experience daily carrying with the flashing/pen combo? Are there any other minimalist wallets that have this feature that do it better? Thanks!!

I can’t help but add my two-cents to this discussion. I’m a big proponent of carrying around the absolute smallest wallet humanly possible: something that will carry all of my required credit and identification cards (as opposed to every single one of them), and something durable and easy to use. I’ve been using a Nomatic Basics wallet for over two years. Yes, you have to pull out the credit cards to find the one you want. This does not bother me at all. I just checked and I currently have 13 cards in mine, with room to spare. If I remove half the cards, I can cram at least 15 cash bills into the wallet, and probably more. I was initially afraid the wallet would fall apart, but it’s still in great condition after two years, with a lot of use. It’s soft and therefore comfortable in any pocket. And once again, it does not bother me at all that I have to fiddle with it a bit to find what I want. Amazon has it for $20, Prime shipped, and Nomatics is selling it for about $24 shipped. https://www.amazon.com/NOMATIC-Minimalist-Wallet-Everyday-Holder/dp/B01DFU15DC

If this wallet interests you check out the Trayvax Armored Summit. Same price and function, made in USA, build and finish quality has been second to none: https://www.trayvax.com/products/armored-summit?variant=12097765900363

Why would I think it is a good idea to take my cards and cash out every time I need to open a beer? Maybe I am missing it, but what keeps the cards in the "top" opening? I don't carry 8 cards, so will they fall out the "top"?

Always tempted by these multi functional wallets. But just dont think it’s safe to take out your wallet in public too frequently.

I could be missing it but I don't see anywhere else to get the tan version, so there a plus for ordering here

Agreed. After reading this I went straight to the manufacture and got 10% off my first order. Come on Massdrop you gotta do better if you want to keep us around.

Nice reply - for me in AUS it does work out cheaper because same products are marked up by distributors over here to cover their import costs (shipping and AUS taxes). That's why I'm a Mass Drop fan. Shipping of eg AUD $3.50 is a bargain if there is a 100% mark up due to import costs and the distribut ors margin. I recently bought the Fisher Pen drop and saved 50% compared with buying the same in AUS from a local on-line dealer or bricks'n'mortar shop. So I guess its horses for courses 👍 Thanks Mass Drop.

EVILDAIFUAgreed mate! For us poor souls in AUS, Massdrop has been great. We've got some arse-end treatment by retailers (brick & mortars, on-lines) in terms of exorbitant markups, freight costs, and quality. Cheers Massdrop!
