Smart, well made, compact
Leather is soft and nicely finished. Saddle colour is rich reddish brown (and smells great!). Picks up scratches easily but these mostly disappear with a little rubbing. Fits the field notebooks perfectly - easily accommodates all three, although only two can be held in place by one of their cover pages.

Overall pretty nice
I ordered the saddle color, it came as a reddish brown as one might expect. Its a nice color though, definitely what I was expecting.
The leather was a bit tight on the notch holding it closed initially, but after opening and closing it a couple of times it has loosened up enough that it is easier but not enough to be worrisome. It has a pocket on each cover to hold a field notes notebook, which works well as the folio comes with a set of 3 notebooks - one graph, one lined, one blank page notebook, but to me doing it that way makes it feel a bit sloppy. don't get me wrong, its perfectly functional, and works perfectly well if you need two different kinds of paper for whatever reason. But once I go through these notebooks I will try and find a moleskin notebook that fits it, just for OCD reasons. Different strokes for different folks is all.
Overall its a nice folio that feels like it will last a long time and will garner a nice patina with use.

Perfect size, although I'm not entirely sure I've got the field nots secured as they intended. The pen pocket on the back can accommodate a mini pen or full-size.

The folio is beautifully made of thick strong leather. I couldn't imagine it being tougher or more precisely cut and sewn. However... I bought mine in saddle color, which on the photos appeared to have a slightly reddish tinge and some contrasting orange in the nap. Instead, the color is basically just a dull brown throughout. I hope it develops some personality as it breaks in, but at the moment it looks nothing like the photos. Still, I'd highly recommend this just for the quality alone.

Quality leather with quality craftsmanship
Great looking notebook holder, smells amazing, ocean blue is very deep blue that appears almost black, but as soon as I tried inserting pen in the holder you can see the blue come out. I can't wait for the leather to start getting it's character, very happy with the purchase, even though it was a lengthy wait, worth it in the end

Very nice folio and the blue color is very deep and rich. The clasp pin can be a little difficult to close but will likely loosen over time. I’m hoping it doesn’t loosen too much, but rugged leather should last for years!
