Function and Features

At only 0.9 oz, the BRS-3000T is the lightest top-mount canister stove on the market and is tiny enough to fold up and store in the bottom of the pot. The titanium heat shield reflects heat back to the pot and is easily removable. This newest iteration of this kit includes a t titanium pot support that fits between the Jetboil's heat ring and the stove's support arms, for improved support and easier use. The total kit weighs 1.2 oz (34 grams), shaving 4.9 oz (139 g) off a regular Jetboil and 3.0 oz (85 g) off the discontinued Sol Ti. Additionally, this stove with heat shield will work with any normal flat-bottom pot. The carbon fiber lid should fit many popular one-person pots, such as the Vargo Ti-Lite 750 ml, Vargo BOTs (Titanium or SS), and Toaks 95 mm series titanium pots.

@Mike9951 - I talked with our vendor about this, and here is what they had to say: "The "chipping" is air voids where the resin has not filled all the spaces in the mold. Most of the lids have some of this, it is normal. It does not affect the strength, or the safety of the lids, the individual carbon fibers are all coated with resin and will not fall into the pot, or other wise come loose. In most carbon fiber products these cosmetic voids would be filled after they are molded. We use a particle prepreg carbon fiber to build the lids. It is carbon fiber fabric that is preimpregnated with epoxy resin. We layer this fabric together in a mold and then "cook" it to cure the resin. As the resin is heated it flows to fill the spaces in the mold and in between he carbon fibers, before curing hard. The particular resin used in the prepreg is made to be as safe as possible for food use, which is not the norm with most prepreg. We also use FDA approved silicone mold release. This creates two problems with regard to the voids. One being that the 2 part filler epoxy used for most cosmetic filling is very high in BPA(nasty chemical). The second is that the Silicone mold release we use makes it very difficult to fill the voids." So, based on the one I own, and the vendor's explanation, it sounds like your issue is normal and poses no risk to degradation. However, if you're still in doubt, go ahead and post a picture of the lid and we can evaluate it. We want to make sure you're happy, so thanks for posting!
