Well... seems like I am the only one that is fortunate enough to get a 'wear-able' pair. I had 2 size up from my current waist size for a 'shrink to fit' purpose, and I got a size 32. As the other 2 reviews below said, the waist size goes two size down as the size chart, so I am currently having a acceptable fit before soak. Hopefully it would bounce back from 30 to 32 after soak.... In addition, the inseam is also 32 but not 34 by my measurement.

I ordered 34" SLIM fit and received my jeans today. They did not come with any retail labels or packaging. Just jeans in a plastic bag. They look similar to what Sage 25oz used to be before they released 6th anniversary Everest version. There is only one label inside the jeans that says 34 but nothing about what fit it is. Although jeans look amazing and well built, It's way too small to fit me. In fact, I can't even close button. Also leg opening is of straight fit and not Slim. I measure my jeans and looks like all the measurements are way off compared to the size chart. Expected measurement of 34" slim fit: Waist 36", Leg opening 7.75" Actual Measurement of my jeans: Waist 34", Leg opening 8.25" (According to size chart it's 32" Slim straight) Contacted Massdrop and waiting for their response.

got mine today... yep... not the 6th anniversary patch but this light tan leather chunk is one heck of a rigid, thick slab of leather, I'll tell you! It is so over-the-top thick... that patch is unusual to say the least. And why claim that this is a 6th anniversary denim when there is nothing to identify it as such on these particular jeans? Sadly for me... I did order the 32's... but I fear it a totally useless pair of jeans for me.... the 32 is more like size 30 ...it is too small and this is pre-wash! There is not enough room to get into these and I ordered the slim straight cut - I have no clue what sort of giraffe anorexic could take on the skinny straight jean cut... Even more bizarre: the front pockets. I've never owned a pair of jeans that are too small for my hands to fit into. The pockets are so small that you'd need to have Trumpian hands for the pockets to seem right-sized. The metal loop for snapping on a chain/keys - that is a nice touch and the stitching, which is very difficult to do for such thick denim, is expertly done. So I am disappointed overall. What is the upside? Other than the clear mistakes in sizing and pockets made for a micro-human, the denim is wonderful! Oh it is serious heavyweight stuff and will fade up and soften beautifully (and after I bet several months of serious break in). If it is possible to get a right-sized pair that will not destroy you further with shrinkage post-wash, these are incredible to behold...so nice I'd love to somehow reverse the seasons and do late Fall and Winter over so that I can break them in before warmer weather finally arrives. Instead, though... we get our jeans in the Spring... and I can't fit into these pairs anyway. I recommend ordering 2 inches wider than usual and even then for some of you it may still be a tight pair of jeans there... Not sure what I can do... but I've asked Massdrop about it. Should I try to reach out to Sage directly? Any advice much appreciated. I suppose I can re-sell, too.  Happy to try out Sage again as there is a lot of value there and it's exciting to support this Indonesian effort pushing the envelope with their own heavy-weight denim like 25oz! I look forward to a new review for the jeans I do wear. Don't discount Sage I think over above necessarily as the real limitation is one of not being able to try on the garment before purchase, anyway.
