I'm a neophyte at this so give me a break....why do some people put their jeans in the freezer??? Its driving me nuts. Thank you.

The idea is that the cold kills bacteria, thus reducing any smells in the jeans without washing them (since washing will remove indigo in a more even way, making fades less strong). I'm not convinced of its validity, but there you go.

I agree.... hanging them out in the sun is a much more effective and hygienic way... it doesn't even have to be the 95 degree summer sun.
