Indonesia has a rich history with indigo dyes (this is an important center for batik, after all), so it’s no surprise that the country is making waves in the denim world. Among the major players is Sage Read More
Finally got around to shrinking mine.... tried the bath, tried a 60 degree machine wash, eventually had to use a 95 degree machine wash. Got two inches off the waist and two inches off the length - great. I can even do all the buttons up. I'd be super happy if it weren't for the left leg twist that has put the seam at almost 11 o'clock!
Great pair of 25oz everbeast ll. I sized up and did a hot bath with them on. They shrunk about an inch. Not quite enough, but I can still wear them and they are going to give me some great fades. I ordered the 5th Chiefton 19oz, witb stealth and hidden accurate on back pockets. The loomstate fabric has a horizontal slub and I sized down one. This time, I was able to get the slim cut, which has a little more taper in the leg openimg. The wallet is not bad fir $45. I'm not real impressed with the leather, but, hey, $45. I highly recommended the jeans and tees. The ordering process is a back and forth of emails. I use pay-pal. I recieved them in about 10 to 15 days. MD, I hope you strike a deal with Sage soon! Good stuff.
Couldn't wait. I've got a pair of Sage Everbeast ll , and a Sage wallet coming. The jeans are a 25oz unsanforized. The wallet has an extra layer of leather that makes a mountainscape, which will make for a nice back pocket fade. Thanks Md for the community info. My friend Kittivuit Thapavong, will approve. Hi Kitty!( He may be in Bangkok. ) Next time you have a drop, I'll try to help other community members. Cheers!
Ps. You must measure your waist. No vanity sizing here.
I'm a 29" waist and so I ordered a 30 expecting it to fit loose prior to soaking but it's pretty damn snug already presoak. Wondering if anyone else's pair fits to tag size prior to soak rather than later like the measurements suggest (a little large, fitting post soak). As it is now, I won't be able to wear my pair... Disappointing.
who8mahriceMeasuring straight across - without pulling them tight because I can't button them until I've performed surgery on the top buttonhole - I have 18.5 inches against a predicted size of 19.75 inches.
I read somewhere to stick a length of wood in the buttoned waist when soaking to prevent it shrinking too much.
GreenieIn this case that's really what you should do. These are unsanforized (shrink-to-fit) and you can control a bit how much they shrink by adjusting the temperature and length of the initial soak. If you're between sizes, definitely size up; so yea, in your case of being a size 37" i'd go with the 38" and take it from there. Thanks for your interest on this drop!
