Long answer: Sainsmart has no official support on Linux. OpenHantek and OpenBuudai (open source oscilloscope software) don't support this device. I didn't want to go down the rabbit hole of xoscope compatibility.
It might be hackable, but it depends how much your time and expertise are worth

EarlMHi, do you know if this is applicable to MacOS as well? I don't want to make the assumption but it sounds like that might be the case.

JackW0lfSainsmart doesn't offer any MacOS software for the device. Maybe if you're adventurous you could try windows in a Virtual Machine with USB passthrough, but that solution feels terrible. I haven't seen any open oscilloscope software for Mac OS at all
