Is anybody using one of these to make custom PCBs? Is it accurate and powerful enough to cut say 0.010" channels in copper-clad FR4?
Furthermore, has anybody been using it with a MacOS machine?
justinulyssesI plan to try it on PCBs. It will probably cut OK, but not sure about precision, depends on how much flex and play there is in the system.
The router just reads G-code via the USB serial port, so should run on MacOS fine. In the worst case, have a Mac application dump the G-code to a file, then transfer it to the router using one of the Python data streaming programs in the GitHub repository.
In this price range may be an Openmill Minimill? You can reconfigure it similar to vertical mill machines and get a bit more work area. Get a mechanical KIT from CN then electronics elsewhere. It is precise and rigid enough for light aluminium.
Possible to import my z-brush creations and carve some of them out with this thing? I might open up a Twitch art channel if it's not a n impossible task.
