I received my panel late but everything set no issues. Opened tv today and found the panel no longer works and damaged. Time to see how drop warranty works......
I sprung for the 65in, and I'm very satisfied. A truly spectacular deal for a brand new flagship Samsung TV. Yes 8K content it's hard to find, but the processing and upscaling this TV does of 4K up to 8K is significantly better looking than my other top of the line 4K TV set, so I'm very happy.
Hey @M.ass.drop your pricing is wrong on this drop. You list $2799 for the 75 with the 65 being -$1000 on the add but you put it in your cart and $2799 is the 65 price with $3799 for the 75.
Does the OneConnect unit contain the new HDMI 2.1 standard or is this the first revision with HDMI 2.0b? Samsung was going to replace the unit for customers with the new HDMI 2.1 on the OneConnect earlier this year.
To the fence-sitters: This is a tv that costs as much as a jet ski, or a really expensive bicycle. I don’t jet ski, and I don’t want to ride a $7k bike. What I do want is to be one of the first people to see what photos look like in 8K. And obviously, this tv delivers. I don’t think you would be able to detect the difference in anything less than the 82” model, though.
In general: there’s no 8K sources other than your PC. My GTX 1050 doesn’t do well with 8K video. ( surprise). It does fine with static images, at 30 Hz.
My 65” LG OLED had an overall nicer picture, but I don’t think I’ll be able to afford an 82” OLED for some time.
Blacks on this TV are every bit as good as the OLED.
