I'm a bootblack and bought some of this on Amazon to try...always looking to test different products in an effort to offer my clientele the best possible result. Yes, the bootblack world of wax is bigger than just Angelus and Lincoln (and Kiwi since they changed their formula -ick!) Saphir has a weird perfume smell, not the natural kind of fragrance I normally associate with natural oil & wax based (vs. petroleum based) products. Personally, I want my leather to smell like leather and not a perfume counter. I tested it anyway for performance and was not impressed. It was good, but not great and definitely not great enough to try to sell my clientele on boots that smell like perfume. Saphir does have some beautiful brushes though and their suede cleaner is almost as good as the military issue stuff.
